A global mark of design excellence? We’ll take that!
The Red Dot Design Award is one of the most renowned design competitions in the world. With a history dating back to 1955, it celebrates excellence in design across product, communication, and concept categories. The 2025 award ceremony will be held on July 6, recognizing standout achievements that combine aesthetic appeal with function and forward-thinking.
“Red Dot stands for belonging to the best in design and business,” Red Dot states on their website. “Excellent design is selected by competent expert juries in the areas of product design, communication design, and design concepts.”
Not just a pretty face
In the jury’s own words:
“With restrained design, modular architecture and smart connectivity, the amina S and C chargers are future-proof charging solutions.”
This award highlights our belief that EV charging hardware should be intuitive, aesthetically minimal, and built with the future in mind – both in terms of technology, installation and integration flexibility. The award reiterates what we have believed all along – that good design is not a luxury or a checklist. It is the foundation. It is what allows a product to be technically excellent, operationally smart, and innately beautiful. That applies to every detail – from the compact, quiet form factor to the way our chargers interact with light, space, the electrician, and the EV driver.

Designing with purpose
Behind the award-winning look of amina S and C is lead designer Alejandro Mandrion.
“We designed amina S and C based on a set of principles that define everything we do: Democratic, Simply Intelligent, Purposeful, and Timeless. These products had to work for everyone, stay relevant over time, and solve real-world problems with clarity and care,” he says.

That vision is reflected in every detail – from the matte finish that hides wear and tear, to the angled top that doubles as a cable hook. This recognition means that design-driven thinking can stand out – even in industries that are usually engineering-led.
“It’s a huge milestone for us. As a small team building something from scratch, this award shows that our work is not only seen – but respected. It confirms that thoughtful, focused design has impact, even in technical, overlooked categories.”
